Engine light on on Christmas Eve
My check engine light lit up as I backed out of my driveway Christmas Eve afternoon. As I was about to embark on a long journey home for the holidays, I called Toyota to see if they could take a look at my car. Despite an early close time (2 hours after I called), Aaron told me to bring it in and they would see what they could do. Turns out, the light lit up for a reason! After thinking I wouldn’t be able to drive home, Aaron and his team found the piece needed to fix the issue and went to work right away. I was out 30 minutes before closing time. I’ve gone to this dealership for repairs and inspections in the past, but this experience assured me that I should always bring my car here when I need work done. Thank you to this fantastic team!

We had brakes, rotors and the brake line flushed. Robert, our service specialist, was kind enough to text me with information and prices. He called and texted throughout the process and my husband, who was in the waiting area, received the same courtesy. The work was done and the car brakes work better now than when we bought the car. We had our older Highlander's brakes and rotors done by Tuffy and it never reacted like this one does that was serviced by Toyota of Grand Rapids. Yay!

Every time I go in there is always great customer service and quality work. Mr. Vern, the service writer is a key asset that I would recommend everyone to try and go thru. He is one knowledgeable on the vehicles and always ensures to go above and beyond to ensure everything taken care of. Facility is nice, and the Toyota of Grand Rapids always honors my extended service plan that was purchased through a different dealer in California as well. Highly recommend.
I took my new hybrid in for service. Part of the problem was a glitch in software, and at first I was told the software update wasn’t covered under my certified preowned warranty. The staff was able to do more digging before I could ask what else could be done, since I made sure to purchase a car with a warranty for this reason. After about 20 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised when staff came out and shared they were able to get it covered. I appreciated staff going above and beyond before being asked in order to take care of the customer.
The service advisors Bruce and Cooper @ Toyota of GR are terrific. Those are the only service advisors that I let schedule service on my truck. I highly recommend them.

I used to use the other local Toyota dealership to have my previous Toyota serviced. I found them to be rude, and less than honest. I purposely drove to Lansing to purchase my current vehicle, because my experience was so bad at Kool, but didn’t want to travel the distance for service. I decide I would give Toyota of Grand Rapids a try, and I am so glad that I did! Their customer service is great, and their mechanics are always friendly, and go out of their way to explain everything. My next vehicle will be purchased from here!

I bought a used Toyota from a different dealership & within 3 weeks I had to bring it in to be serviced twice! The second time I decided to bring it straight to Toyota of Grand Rapids. I brought my Toyota in for service. I had to try and explain the sound I was hearing. Vern Hall was my service advisor and he understood what I was trying to say. I had arranged for the shuttle to bring me home. It didn't come so I talked with someone in the service area who called the shuttle driver. He was still 20 minutes away so I was asked if I wanted Uber to be called and Toyota would pay for it. I did opt for that. When my car was ready Vern told me to call the shuttle driver to come get me, not knowing I hadn't taken it in the morning. He gave me the name and number and said if he couldn't get me to call back and he'd arrange another Uber for me. Shuttle driver was not able to come. Vern did arrange the Uber for me. Vern was busy with another customer when I got there but someone else helped and was also very helpful. Vern and the others that helped me were great! Wonderful customer service! Highly recommend!

I recently financed a used vehicle from Toyota of Grand Rapids. Every step of the process was simple, easy, and hassle free. Ed and Jason were a tremendous help getting me into my new vehicle. They walked me through every step of the process, let me take the car for a test drive right away, and immediately addressed any questions or concerns I had. They even let me have the car for an extended weekend as a rental until I could get my old paperwork from my last car (license plate transfer). The car I ended up getting had two minor issues that Ed and Jason were able to get repaired before I finished signing the paperwork, making sure the car was in perfect condition before I took ownership. Everything about the car buying process stressed me out, but the team at Toyota of Grand Rapids made it easy and worry-free. Ed even called me a week later to make sure everything was still working and to see if I still loved the car. . . I definitely am! I would highly suggest going there for your next car!

I purchased my RAV4 on 8/16 & am very happy with my experience and my car. I was actually on my way somewhere else but happened to drive through Toyota on my way. I had been to a few high pressure lots that pushed to me to buy something that I didn't want or that were outside my budget. My experience here was different. Tal listened carefully to what I was looking for & made sure that I got exactly what I wanted without any pressure. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles that I was interested in. I had an overall great experience & I will be going back when it's time to buy again.

As I entered the service area I was promptly greeted by Jennifer Hoyt and within 30 seconds a young man was placing a cover over my car seat and floor protectors. Jennifer explained my scheduled service and stated that she would bring my car filters out to me to check and decide if I wanted replacements. She predetermined the cost before I signed for my approval. I chose to sit outside on a bench and rather that stand over me to share my car’s progress, she sat in the bench next to me, which I felt was a pleasant gesture! My car was completed in less than the estimated time! I am 100% satisfied with the service I received on 8-13-19!

I would Highly Recommend the dealer. Sales Man Anthony Wilcox and Sales Manager Mike were wonderful, extremely patient and helped me find the vehicle that I want. I looked at other dealers trying to find better deals on a truck all the way up to Winconin, Ohio I was not able to find a single one. They also gave me best deals on rebates for the vehicle and made me really feel part of the family. Even now when I go in for general maintenance I feel warm welcome even as of the day I purchased vehicle. Facilities are clean, customer lounge is always full with complimentary beverages. My service appointment went extremely well - Aaron was organized and answered all my questions. And when I had suggested some specific service (coolant system flush), he looked through the maintenance history and told me I would be wasting money to perform that work as it had been taken care of fairly recently. When I picked up my car after the work was performed, Aaron went through all the test results and explained what they meant. Also, I rented a car to get around while my car was being serviced and Kayla was extremely helpful and friendly. Overall I was really pleased the work performed and the Toyota employees that I interacted with.

This Toyota dealership gave me the best experience I have encountered. Being young, and a woman, they took me very seriously and worked so very hard to get me into the car I so dearly wanted. Joe, our salesman was very accommodating and showed several options to make sure we could make something work. Joe felt more as a friend then a salesman.. I did not feel pressured, pushed, or nagged into getting something especially if I was not pleased with the product. I HIGHLY recommend Joe to anyone in the area. The blonde sales manager (can't remember her name) touched base with us several times to ensure everything was going smooth and gave great customer service. Toyota of Grand Rapids will always be my go to dealership from now on, you guys rock.

Great experience buying my 2016 rav4 two years ago. Service department is literally the best. Friendly people greet you with a smile and make sure you are happy and satisfied before leaving. Suitable prices. If I still live at least with in drive able distance, I would totally keep getting my service done here.
I shopped around for months looking for a good car and one of the places I went was Toyota of Grand Rapids. I met with Jon Diffin and he was extremely helpful and not at all pushy with me in my search. He diligently worked to find something that worked for me. I seriously considered the Rav4 which is a great car but ended up going to another dealer because I found something that was a better fit for me personally than the Rav. Definitely recommend Jon if you are looking for a Toyota or other used car - great to work with!

We had an excellent experience working with Toyota. It was my first time purchasing a used vehicle, so I was very nervous and hesitant, but Luis was wonderful to work with. He found me the exact vehicle I wanted with more options than I requested, and never put pressure on me to exceed my budget. Paul Gruber was a wonderful salesperson with us! It was Memorial Day weekend and so there were lots of customers, but Paul took all the time we needed and never made us feel rushed. He answered all our questions clearly and was both knowledgeable and friendly. Not once did he seem pushy, and, in fact, it never felt like we were interacting with a stereotypical salesperson; it felt more like we were talking with a nice, down-to-earth, genuine guy who just wanted to help us.

I decided rather quickly that I was going to buy a car on a November weekend. I had been researching several models and makes of cars for a couple of years. Based on my research, I decided a Toyota Prius was the perfect match for me. I went to several Toyota dealers in and around the Grand Rapids and lake shore area. Approaching salespeople, I did not feel that they took me seriously as a viable purchaser being an older woman without my husband. In fact, one of the dealerships wouldn't even show me any vehicles. It was not until I came into Toyota dealership of Greater Grand Rapids on east 28th street and met up with one of their salesmen, Brandon Sabin, I felt that I was dealt with in a respectable manner. This young man spent a great deal of time with me, showing me many different models and answering all of my questions, plus many more questions that I had not even thought of. I think he did an excellent job and made me realize that the Prius II was just the car I was looking for. I have had this vehicle for about 3 months now and it has met and exceeded all that I thought I needed in a vehicle. I have averaged 48 to 51 miles per gallon, sometimes more than that. I figure with every five thousand miles I drive, I save $1000 in gasoline. The car will pay for itself in no time at all! I am thankful that Brandon took the time and showed me the vehicle of my dreams and treated me with great respect! Great job, Brandon!

Could not be more pleased
We have purchased two vehicles from Toyota of Grand Rapids. We could not be more pleased with their sales or service. I recently had to go in to fix my rear windshield wiper, which was damaged in a car wash. It wasn't really broken, so they snapped it back for free. While we were waiting for my car to cool sufficiently that they could apply adhesive on a bit of trim (same car wash.) they also suggested some other services - which I appreciate because it will make my 30000 mile visit easier.

I brought the car in for an oil change and the service rep looked up the records on the car and told me of the other things now due. He gave me an estimate of the time requirements and the cost. I gave my approval and went in the waiting room with my book to read. Shortly afterward another service rep came in and said the work is going to take much longer and he would provide me with a loaner so they could complete the work by the next morning between 9 and 10. I took the loaner and the work was done around 9:30. I had told them I needed my car by 10 to go on vacation. Everything was completed as promised. Excellent service and good customer care.

I went to Toyota with a member of my church who was looking for a car. While the salesman Sean was sharing about what Toyota offered. I was agreeing that they offer great product and service. When we were leaving after talking with Sean, I jokingly said I think I should be talking to you instead of Honda regarding trading in my 2011 CRV. I went home researched the RAV4 and did the math. It made since for us to purchase the 2013 RAV4 which offered life time power train, maintenance free for up to 25K, 9.95 oil changes etc. I shared with my husband and he said lets go test drive. We went to talk with Sean on Saturday and I picked up my new RAV4 on Monday and we save 70.00 per month on our payment. It was a great experience, I have driven Honda's for over 15 years. I love the part at the end where you are taken around the showroom to meet the staff. It was a great welcome to the family.

My first Toyota
I purchased a 2013 Highlander in April and have not been disappointed. Trey Yarborough was very professional from start to finish. I should also say that everyone that I dealt with at Toyota of GR was a true a professional. I have had my vehicle in twice for service and both times my visits couldn't have been more pleasant. This is my first Toyota but I am sure it won't be my last and I will be purchasing from Toyota of Grand Rapids.

I bought an 08 Rav4 new at this dealer, and have had it serviced here exclusively ever since. I can say I am very pleased with the service I have received. Bruce, Ben, (and previously Glen), are always knowledgeable and professional about whatever situation is at hand. I trust their experience, and most jobs come-in UNDER the amount quoted for the job. Their service prices compare well with most after-market offerings...and the waiting room/showroom is spectacular vs sitting around some greasy,dumpy, service facility! I will continue to take my vehicle to TGR, because I appreciate the rigorous checks and balances built in to their service program, and they know my make/model better than any aftermarket hopefuls/wannabes. The entire experience is first-class, from the moment you pull into the spotless service bays..till you leave.

I bought my Tacoma while living out of state but I exclusively service it here. I think through that entire time (8+ years) Ben has been my primary contact, and I appreciate that consistency! We have discussions about what work needs to be done, and I feel a sincere interest on his part to make sure my goals are met – whether that be just keeping the truck on the road, or sometimes working around budgetary constraints. I'd consider buying another Toyota from here just for the opportunity to continue to work with him.

My salesperson Al Luke is a strong Christian. (He'd be a good Muslim, too, though!) (I am half Middle Eastern:)). He has always been kind and PATIENT with me, and goes out of his way, above and beyond. I have NEVER been treated with any disrespect as a female car owner/purchaser. This Toyota dealership is so kid friendly, my kids don't mind coming with me and waiting for oil changes. They have complementary drinks and popcorn, which has saved both my and my kids' sanity, a play room for kids, and a quiet computer room with couches for me to work in, while we wait. My therapy dog can come into the building. My service person Bruce is kind, EFFICIENT (I'm always on the run) and in tune with me. I can't always afford EVERYTHING to be serviced...Bruce chooses safety work first and gives me honest guidance for the rest, so I can BUDGET and time the service to my paycheck. The Business Director Jay Rodenberry was extremely knowledgeable, and efficient. He negotiated a monthly payment that I can afford, and makes sense for us.

I was shopping around for a used Prius and saw a couple I liked on the Toyota of Grand Rapids website--a beautiful green one they had particularly caught my eye. I spoke to my salesperson, Duane Eidenier, about the car I was interested in, and when I arrived at the dealership for my appointment the car was already pulled into the garage so I could look it over (it was a cold day out, so I appreciated the warm garage). Duane showed me all the features and I felt that he answered my questions honestly without trying to “sell” it too hard. I’d done a lot of online research beforehand and the price was exactly in the range I was expecting—I actually got a little bit better of a deal than I’d been hoping for. When I decided to go for it, the finance team was very accommodating about allowing me to finance through my credit union in Lansing. Everyone I interacted with at the dealership was friendly and professional. It was so quick and painless… and I got my dream car!

We took a short test drive, then discussed terms with the nice sales associate, then we had to wait for our turn for the final step with the finance officer. Even though we were paying cash for our vehicle, we had to wait while others struggled to get financing. When we finally had our turn it took less than 10 mins, but we had to wait almost 3 hours for our turn. It would have been nice if they would have had an express lane for those who didn't need financing.

Got an oil change done at 230K miles for my 2007 Yaris, purchased from Toyota of Grand Rapids in June 2006. Ben DeKruyter wrote up my order when I dropped in early on 07/10 without an appointment, telling me he would find a time to get the needed oil change done. By mid-morning, he called to let me know my car was ready. I called for the courtesy shuttle driver to come get at his earliest convenience. He arrived about 12:30 and took me back to the dealership to pick up my car. As always I received quick, complete, and courteous service attention; and the "shuttle" is always appreciated. I've had this car serviced regularly at Toyota of GR and have always been pleased with the attention received. I highly recommend this company.

Nick (my fantastic salesperson months ago) was happy to see me and Ben (service) was very friendly every step of the way. I bought a certified used Toyota from a dealership in the Chicago area and brought it here for service...I live in Grand Rapids. The experience there was good, but after bringing my car here for service (08' Sequoia Limited) I wish I could have kept my purchase local. Ben Dekryter (I'm pretty sure I spelled the last name incorrectly) in service did a phenomenal job, which I brought in 2 hours before my service, explaining what was to be done, called me to say what was needed and what I could hold off on repairing; furthermore, he even saved me a couple dollars by going to the vehicle afterward and showing me how to change the cabin filter and where to access the lights. Oh, and the car was finished shortly after my scheduled appointment. Oh, and he even showed my 2 year old son around the shop which was way cool. I'd highly recommend bringing your vehicle here for service and I look forward to purchasing my next vehicle (I'm a first time Toyota buyer) here in the future.

After thinking I would be able to look at cars while it was raining and not be bothered by a salesperson, out came Larry into the pouring rain. I was pleasantly surprised. I told him what I wanted, what price I wanted to be at per month, and he got me there. I felt Larry and the dealership had the best interest of myself, that was a nice feeling. I appreciate the professionalism of the whole staff and how nice every one was. I would refer this dealership and Larry if you are looking for a new Toyota.
